Birding: Dune Peninsula/Point Defiance

Photo: Marbled Murrelet by Philip Dickinson

Meet at the Mountlake Terrace Transit Center and we'll carpool south, starting at Dune Peninsula. Our (my) goal is Ancient Murrelets, as well as the several other alcids that may be found there. Lots of other seabirds should also be found, as well as some shorebirds. We'll then make the drive around Point Defiance and stop at several lookouts, as well as walk the forest to pick up some forest species. Bring snacks/lunch and dress for the weather.
