Meet at 6:00 AM at the Monroe Park & Ride at 17433 Hwy 2, west of the Evergreen Fairgrounds OR meet the group at 8:00 AM in Leavenworth at Sleeping Lady Resort. At either location, please come prepared to carpool. Birding stops will include Sleeping Lady Resort, the National Fish Hatchery and Camas Meadows. Target birds include White-headed Woodpecker, Yellow-breasted Chat and Calliope Hummingbird. Some birders plan to carpool to Leavenworth, stay there overnight after the field trip, and return to Puget Sound the next day, May 20. (The Howard Johnson Hotel and Fairbridge Inn are both walking distance to town for dinner.) Dress for the weather and pack a lunch.
